三井住友カードはＮＴＴデータと組み、日本企業が海外の消費者に商品を売る際に、商品を買った人が外貨建て（自国通貨建て）でクレジットカード決済ができるサービスを始めた。消費者は自国通貨での支払額がわかるため、企業にとって販売促進効果を期待できる。
